Quest Nutrition Bars….Are They All They Are Cracked Up to Be

Quest Nutrition Bars....Are They All They Are Cracked Up to Be

I was more than willing to jump at the chance to do a product review on Quest Nutrition Bars when it was offered to me. I have heard raving reviews of the bars and thought to myself “oh yeah this is going to be awesome!” Needless to say when my Quest package arrived I was like a kid in a candy store just staring at all of the many flavors that I was sure that I was going to love.

For those of you who don’t know here is a little about Quest.

“Quest Bars were created from a simple idea: healthy food should taste amazing with zero compromises. We set out to deliver something that no one had done before and believed that with enough hard work and innovation food could be delicious and good for you. People eat for enjoyment rather than sustenance. That’s why Quest is driven to engineer foods that don’t compromise on taste or nutrition. Quite simply, we’re making healthy eating fun.”

“We actually believe that you are what you eat. That’s why Quest—from the beginning—has always invested in cutting-edge ingredients to create products with clean nutritional profiles that taste like you’re eating something unhealthy. We like to eat. And we want it to be fun! Cheat meals without the cheating.

To accomplish this, we make sure to use the highest quality ingredients available.

Sugar, for instance, doesn’t even exist at our facility. The only sugar in our bars comes from things like the nuts and freeze-dried fruit. Every sweet, mouthwatering bite of a Quest Bar is the result of painstaking trial and error to discover the most insanely delicious ingredients that promote a healthy lifestyle.

We even manufacture the inclusions that we put in our bars. The chocolate crumbles in Cookies & Cream and the white chocolate chunks in the White Chocolate Raspberry… we make those from scratch. It’s the only way to get the perfect taste and nutritional profile you come to expect from Quest.

We recognized a need to break the nutritional rut of the food industry with sweet innovation by applying up-to-date nutrition science to novel ingredients.

As science brings us new answers, you can count on us to react accordingly – and still create the most exhilarating, mind-blowing food products that make healthy eating fun again.”

I have to admit some bars taste better then others and the texture of the bars are different. My favorite flavors were the Peanut Butter Cups as well as the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Coconut Cashew and the Chocolate Brownie. My daughter loved the Cookies and Cream. My least favorite that I could not finish eating was the Cinnamon Roll.

I love the fact that these bars are gluten free and that you do have such a great range of flavors to choose from.

It has been a While

It has been a While

Boy, it has been a while since I have posted a blog. A lot has happened this past month. Some good and some not so good.

First the GOOD! I finally got a JOB!!! I have been searching for a job non stop since October of last year and nothing seemed to be coming my way. Finally I set out on foot and went and spoke to people face to face and that my friends is what landed me this job. I am so blessed to have this job and cannot wait to see what the future holds with this company. It is definitely a company that I can see myself retiring with.

Now, the not so good. 3 weeks ago I tweaked my left knee. It hurt so bad and the sad part is how I did it. All I did was stand up from a laying position and BAM!!!! It went out and has not been the same since. I have been babying it and am so thankful that I have a pool in my back yard that has allowed me to get pool workouts in for my legs. So you see, there is always a silver lining to situations, you just have to make sure to keep your eyes, ears and heart open to see it.

Now to go to my happy place…The Beach! I am there in spirit but will be there in body on August 1.
